Lockdown in Lynwood Results

Cuthroat_LynwoodEddie Castillo was victorious at Lockdown defending his title against last minute replacement Larry Hayden of the Coalition MMA. Team Mann's Castillo show cased those heavy hands stunning Hayden and sending him to the canvas. Once on top of his opponent Castillo dropped the leather causing Hayden to tap out due to strikes in the first. Castillo announced in the post fight interview that this would be his last amateur fight as he will test the professional circuit.

In the co main event it was Team Mann's Chad Fredericksen getting the victory over Jorge Gonzalez. Fredericksen was dominant on his feet sending Gonzalez to the floor early on the first. Fredericksen controlled the first round doing some damage with some body punches while in side control. Early in the second round Fredericksen was once again on top of Gonzalez and was doing some damage when Gonzalez motioned to referee Jay Estrada that he was unable to continue. Fredericksen, with the win, should be in line for a top 5 match up in the fututre.

Cutthroat Bantamweight champion Jake Nauracy made his return to the cage, fighting at 145 pounds against AJ Masters. Torres MMA's Jake Nauracy wasted no time catching a kick and dropping Masters with a right cross. Nauracy attacked his opponent unleashing some heavy punches causing referee Jay Estrada to put a stop to the bout in just 11 seconds! An impressive return to the cage for the undefeated fighter. What will be next for Jake Nauracy? In the post fight interview he expressed interest in fighting Canada's Jon Rooks which would be an interesting title bout.

The fight of the night goes to Team Mann's Chuck Olena and Glen Hudson Nuay Thai Academy's Sean Gee (G). Gee coming off his huge Ko over Miguel Garza looked to unrail the seemingly unstopable Chuck Olena. The two warriors battled for 3 rounds and the wrestling and strength of Olena was enough to overcome the heavy hands and speed of Gee. Olena executed his gameplan perfectly taking Gee off his feet and neutralizing the dangerous stand up of Gee. Olena appears in line and asked for a shot at current 145 pound champion Jason Ignacek which would be a great main event on any card!

The submission of the night goes to Gilbert Grappling's Ben Carlson with his Gogo-plata over Adam Meneou. Carslon secured an early take down and later worked well off his back, capturing the uncommon submission attempt.
