SupremeSupreme Promotions Brawl at the Hall was held last night in Joliet, IL. The main event was a war between Stefan Von Aulock versus Ivory Blackwell, for the welterweight title. Blackwell was able to take VonAulock down several times throughout the contest but Von Aulock was active from the bottom, threatening with armbars and moved well, to avoid sustaining serious damage. As the fight entered the final round, it was too close to call and it appeared the last round may decide the fight. Von Aulock didn't want to wait for a judge's decision so he took matters into his own hands, and was able to mount Blackwell and finish him with strikes.  Stefan Von Aulock is the new Supreme Promotions welterweight Champion. Great heart and dertination by both competitors.

Lecuyer's Martial Arts Ramsey Beard wasted no time in getting his Featherweight Championship. Beard executed a nice belly to belly suplex on Bobby Andrews and worked from side control. Andrews was able to make it back to his feet and attempted a guillotine choke but was taken down again by Beard. As Andrews tried up, Beard took his back and worked for the rear naked choke. Andrews rose to his feet but Beard locked in the choke and Andrews tapped to the choke at 1:44 into round 1.

My pick for fight of the night was between Team One's Joe Hruben and Pac MMA's Josh Streacker. Streacker would take home an unanimous decision victory, but this was a great stand up fight. Both fighters landed big shots and battled back and forth. Streacker was able to punish the leg of Hruben with inside and outside leg kicks throughout the fight. Streacker showed superior movement was able to move in and out and avoid the majority of heavy punches from Hruben. Both these fighters are talented and should provide the fans with more entertaining fights in the future.

Another great matchup was between Counterstrikes Andrew Potapenko and NutHouse MMA's Bill Ward. Ward was seemingly having his way with Potapenko getting takedowns and executing some ground and pound in the first two rounds and was able to get a takedown in the 3rd as well. Potapenko was able to sink in a triangle choke on Ward. Ward would not tap out and the referee halted the contest, due to a technical submission. A great comeback win for Potapenko but has to be really frustrating for Bill Ward, who was dominating the majority of the fight. After the victory, Potapenko gains a title shot in September versus Matt Paul, which should be a war!!

Jim Jackson and Mike Aguirre put on a great card and I look forward to their next one. Ray Flores did an awesome job announcing and kept the crowd entertained!
